Paragolfer equipment funded by PQSA for public use at West Beach Parks Golf Course

PQSA introduces the ParaGolfer - ready for public use at West Beach Parks Golf Course! The ParaGolfer is an all-terrain wheelchair that raises the user into a standing position to allow them a more traditional golf swing. It can access most golf course areas, including the greens. The equipment will be free for anyone who requires it, and is the first of it's kind in South Australia!

PQSA has been supporting South Australians for nearly 70 years, and we are well known for the support, intervention, advice and advocacy we provide to improve health outcomes for people living with a disability. But we are also determined to address access and inclusion issues and remove barriers to activities most of us take for granted, like golf!
We are delighted to have purchased this equipment and to find a partner in West Beach Parks, which will make the ParaGolfer available for more people to play an equally exhilarating and frustrating game.” Peter Stewart, PQSA CEO

The launch on Thursday 20 October 2022 was attended by Sarah Andrews MP, George Vlahos - Deputy Mayor, City of West Torrens, Kate Anderson - CEO of West Beach Caravan Park and Dean Wetherill - General Manager Operations West Beach Caravan Park.
